new album teenage.
produced by kim fowley - the legendary american record producer with
an irish grandmother and a string of american number one singles - between
a man and a woman seeks to capture that elusive moment between
innocence and experience in a relationship.

musicians include andy's alt collaborator and friend tim finn, vika
and linda (two tongan singers) and karl wallinger from world party.

and get back home andy's first single from
'teenage'. these were recorded by andy white's spiritual
supermarket in session on gerry ryan's 2fm show.
during their january 1997 series of concerts in england and scotland,
the band followed up their london show by playing till 4 a.m. in an
underground club in tin pan alley, their glasgow show by discussing
icelandic literature with blur until the wee small hours (and discovering
dick spring at the glasgow hilton into the bargain), and their liverpool
show by searching for menlove avenue in the pale moonlight. all good

andy then attends ireland's national hot press awards, televised on
21st february, where he has been nominated as songwriter of the year,
the award he won in 1993.
